Handmade Ant Moat Guard For Hummingbird/ Oriole Feeders

Handmade Ant Moat Guard for Hummingbird feeders or Oriole feeders. The small bucket is approx. 4 inches high and holds approx. 2 1/2 Cups of water OR approx. 20 ounces. Both top and bottom hooks are 7/8 inch, for easy hanging. Ants will not cross water, so just fill the bucket 3/4's with water and refill as needed. I have found that the weight of an Oriole, on my Oriole feeder will sway the feeder when the bird first lands, so it is best to only fill the mote about 3/4 full so the water doesn't splash over. Hummers have no problem, as the little ones don't sway the bucket. The buckets are metal, with a wooden piece of Oak or Pine and two metal plastic coated hooks. The bucket tops are approx. 4 inches across and the bottom is approx. 3 inches across. All are water tested so there are no leaks, prior to listing, and have a waterproof seal. I started out making these for my bird-watching friends and they loved them so much, I decided to pass them on so others may enjoy deterring the ants that annoy and mess up our feathered friends meal.
